Ariana Grande appears to be teasing the release of new music in an Instagram post, and her fans are ecstatic. The caption reads,”yes, and? ♡ 1.12.”
“MOTHER IS BACK,” one user commented on the Sunday post.
“there she is !” and “WE MISSED YOU,” others wrote.
Broadway star McKenzie Kurtz, makeup artist Patrick Starrr and drag queen Jan Sport joined the online excitement with their own comments of anticipation and praise.
It’s unclear whether “yes, and?” is a new single or album. USA TODAY has reached out to Grande’s team for clarification.
In December, the singer, songwriter and actor said that she will release a new album in 2024, which will be her seventh studio album and first since 2020’s "Positions."
"See you next year," she wrote in the caption of the Dec. 27 Instagram post, which included images in a studio and in front of a mixing board, and a video where someone off screen tells her it is "almost the last day of this album."
The new album will also be her first since her marriage and subsequent separation from real estate agent Dalton Gomez.
Grande’s Instagram bio includes a link to the new music, set to release on Jan. 12, that reveals “pre-add” and “pre-save” options on Apple Music and Spotify.
